Katy Bicknell

As a licensed clinical social worker with experience providing psychotherapy in community mental health and family reunification settings, Katy is passionate about helping people from many walks of life discover the power of the therapeutic relationship. Her previous experience and alignment with humanistic principles allow her to warmly incorporate interventions from multiple treatment modalities based on needs of a child, adolescent, young adult, parent, family, or parent-child dyad.

Katy possesses a strong desire to see each of her clients through an appropriate lens, and draws from psychodynamic, attachment, cognitive, experiential, family systems, and neurobiological frameworks. She is receiving training in hypnosis and Internal Family Systems (IFS). Katy creates a warm and safe space to help her clients become more self-aware and promotes their healing and growth.

Katy’s specialty areas include supporting individuals impacted by perinatal mental health concerns (including infertility and reproductive stress), adjusting to life transitions, executive functioning and ADHD, intergenerational trauma, parenting stressors, depression, identity development, and childhood trauma.
